Every tool experiences wear. But what to do if your tool begins wearing too early or too much? You need quick, easy and effective help! With the Tool Optimization feature of the Seco Assistant app you can easily search for wear types or other issues like vibrations or chip jams to find a solution.
Diagnosing tool wear
Tool wear can depend on many different factors, and often each one needs to be investigated and eliminated before moving on to the next potential issue. Within the Tool Optimization feature you'll find the following categories to begin with your diagnosis:
- Milling
- Turning
- Holemaking
- PCD
- Ceramics
- PCBN
How to use the Tool Optimization
- Click the "Tool Optimization" within the Seco Assistant app
- Select a product line
- Choose a challenge or wear-type
- Select the grade
If you select a challenge, you get general information on wear issues. By choosing the grade, you get tips on how to overcome the challenge. Follow the tips in chronological order or try the alternative grade (if applicable).
